9/2021: Postcard Exhibit 7: Soapy Kid Ads
The kids are back in school, and it's time for a bath to wash off the dirt and mud from Summer fun. Here we have early Advertising images reproduced on modern postcards showing a variety of soaps we've never heard of—or at least I haven't. The ads feature children and sometimes a pet, and a variety of tubs, many freestanding without modern plumbing. Most of these images are from The Robert Opie Collection, Museum of Advertising & Packaging, Gloucester, England.
